POE-S1081F, 8 port channels 10/100Mbps PoE switch, which powered by external DC48V/2A power supply. This 8 ways PoE supply power for PoE Powered Device (PD, such as CCTV IP Camera, Wireless AP, VoIP Phone, etc.) over just a single Ethernet cable, which make it very easy for equipment installation. It does not require power lines or power socket beside the terminal powered device as PoE cable (cat5. cat5e, cat6, etc.) will deliver data along with power originate from Power Source Equipment (PSE). There will be always an advance detection before power PDs base on standard protocol IEEE802.3af, this PoE specific priciple is dedicated to protect the involve device in a electric system as the PSE in PoE will figure out how much power the terminal PD require after advance detection and supply appropriate power accordingly, which will avoid damages of over-load, over-voltage, over-current or under-load, under-voltage, etc. So, in this case, no mattter, the connected PD is PoE-Enable or PoE-Disable, which will not broken any equipment.
The maximum power/data transmission distance is around 100 meters over Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6 or higher level cables, the quality of applied cable is better, the delivering distance will be longer as it depends on the power degradation in the transmission. Its Plug and Play design makes the installation quite easy, there will no need extra configuration, Finally, It will greatly reduce the comprehensive cost of installtion instead having electrical power cabling installed.
